USCCA-Certified Active Shooter Response Training
Countering the Mass Shooter Threat (CMST) is a USCCA-certified 8-hour course that reviews analysis of data gathered from 48 mass shootings that have occurred since Columbine. This comprehensive course examines what can be learned from these tragedies — including whether a reduction in magazine capacity or the banning of any class of firearm would have changed the outcome. The course covers whether mass shooters factored gun-free zones into the planning of their attacks, whether victim response has made a difference, and whether universal background checks or other proposals stand a chance of stemming these incidents. You will learn to identify pre-threat indicators, develop an emergency action plan, and understand the Run, Hide, Fight methodology. This course provides a comprehensive plan designed to help legally armed citizens protect themselves, their families, and their communities. A 191-page curriculum book and certificate of completion are included. Prerequisite: Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals (or equivalent experience).
What's Included:

USCCA-certified church security training covering threat identification, emergency operations planning, and congregation protection strategies.
Church Safety: Protecting Your Congregation is a USCCA-certified course that takes the FEMA Active Shooter curriculum and updates and improves its precepts specifically for houses of worship. This course analyzes data gathered from mass shootings to determine what can be learned from these tragedies — including whether a reduction in magazine capacity or the banning of any class of firearm would have changed the outcome. You will examine whether "gun-free" zones factor into the planning of mass shooters, whether victim response has made a difference, and whether universal background checks or other proposals stand a chance of stemming these incidents. The course covers specific considerations related to houses of worship, teaches you how to evaluate your current level of security, and offers practical exercises to reinforce the lessons taught. You will learn to create an Emergency Operations Plan, triage and treat the wounded, identify pre-threat indicators, and understand the Run, Hide, Fight methodology. A USCCA Proof of Training Certificate is included upon successful completion. This course complements both the Countering the Mass Shooter Threat and Emergency First Aid Fundamentals courses.
